Overview

Designer Stainless Steel Sheets

Stainless steel sheets with a decorative surface — mirror, hairline, matte, bead blast, etched or embossed — in natural steel or PVD colours such as gold, rose gold, champagne gold and bronze. Used for wall cladding, lift interiors, furniture, reception desks and architectural details.

What a designer sheet is

A designer sheet starts as a flat stainless steel sheet. Its surface is then finished — polished to a mirror, brushed into lines, blasted, etched with a pattern or embossed with a relief — and can be coloured with a PVD (physical vapour deposition) coating. The result is a decorative surface that keeps the strength and cleanability of stainless steel.

How to choose

  • Start with the finish: it decides how much the surface reflects and how it hides marks.
  • Then the colour: gold, rose gold, champagne gold and bronze are the main PVD tones; black, blue and silver are available on request.
  • Then the grade: SS 304 for humid or demanding areas, SS 202 as a cost-effective choice for indoor decorative work.
  • Then thickness and size: sheets are supplied in 0.8 to 2.0 mm; the standard size is 1220 × 2440 mm, with other sizes on request.
  • Finally, how the sheet will be processed: cutting, bending and V-grooving affect which finish works best. See the processing guide.

Always approve a physical sample

Screens and photos change colour and texture. Before you specify, ask for physical samples of the shortlisted finishes and approve them under the light of the actual space.
